Cover Recipe: "Dont confuse this with shepherds pie made with lamb! Although it is very similar."

Ingredients:

tbsp,
olive oil
450
g,
minced steak
1
large onion, chopped
2
cloves garlic, crushed
2
carrots, diced
300
ml,
good beef stock
300
ml,
passata
25
g,
butter
6
potatoes
1
salt and pepper
Preparation:

Sweat the onion, garlic and carrot in the oil over a low heat for about 15 minutes

Meanwhile fry the mince in a seperate pan for about 5 minutes, drain then add to the vegetables
-
Add the stock and passata and reduce steadily

Check and adjust the seasoning

Meanwhile boil the potatoes for about 25 minutes and mash smooth with the butter

Pour the mince into an ovenproof dish and then add the mashed potato over the top

Bake at 190c for about 20 minutes
